I’ve been wondering what to get my Dad for Father’s Day. It seems like ever since I graduated high school, I haven’t had enough money to buy him the gifts he really deserves. Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time scrapbooking online. I even found out that I had an easy to use movie maker that already came with my computer. It’s as easy as dragging & dropping pictures. I’ve been using scrapblog because it’s easy & free but if anyone else has any other free scrapbooking sites, I would love to hear about them. It would be such a neat idea to make a digital scrapbook. It’s a personal gift. Plus, this gift can be absolutely free, & it won’t take up space in your house.
Honestly, I haven’t really been into scrapbooking before because it’s so messy. That & the fact that when I walk into a scrapbook store my brain just shuts down. There’s just so much too choose from & it’s all so expensive. With digital scrapbooking, I can try everything out & delete whatever I don’t like.

One of Oprah’s favorite things of all times is giving a letter as a gift. I’ve heard her mention it several times. I know if I was Oprah’s friend, I’d probably be thinking, nice letter, where’s my car? However, I did this one year for Father’s Day when I was in college & couldn’t afford a gift, & it was a huge hit. I just wrote down some of my favorite memories & why I was so grateful that he was my father. It took time & effort, but it’s something people will save forever. I don’t know why it is so much easier to buy someone a grill than it is to tell them that we love them. I think we all need to take the time to tell people how we really feel about them & the best part is, it’s free!
I love to give my family home/garden accessories as presents, because then we all get to enjoy it. Once again, I’m a giver :p Dad’s are always tricky because they want really expensive things, like flat screen TV’s. Maybe next year dad. One of my favorite gifts for Father’s Day are hammocks. It really suits any personality because everyone needs to relax. I was just looking at Overstock.com & was impressed at how low the prices were, they had hammocks for around $30, & I have paid over $100 before. Definitely a great gift for Father’s Day.

I completely spaced Father’s Day, which is a shame because my Dad is wicked awesome. (I’m singlehandedly trying to bring back the phrase wicked awesome, pass it on). Luckily, I still have time to shop. Ok so technically it’s a gift under $40, but it’s just neato. I love the Sharper Image, because they have great stuff that we don’t really neeeed, but that is just cool. So I was looking for a gift that was not a tie. I came up with an eye glass cleaner. Now at first glance, this may seem like a bad gift, kinda like getting a toaster. However, everyone in my family has trouble keeping their glasses clean. It’s the one chore that I still need my mom for. Plus, if I get this for him, I can probably borrow it. Yup, I’m a giver, thanks for noticing.
